Book appointments with ChatGPT: your customers book with you in one conversation

Your customers already ask ChatGPT about everything. Now they can book an appointment with you too.

Torly connects your business to ChatGPT. A customer writes "book me a haircut on Thursday after four", and ChatGPT shows your services, checks your real calendar for free times and books the appointment - under the opening hours, breaks and cancellation rules you already set in Torly. What is booking appointments with ChatGPT?

Booking with ChatGPT is a Torly feature - Torly is an appointment management and booking system for small businesses - that lets customers book, move and cancel an appointment with a business directly from a ChatGPT conversation. ChatGPT gets the services and free times from Torly in real time, and the appointment is saved in the business calendar like any other - under the rules the business set.

Unlike a chatbot that only answers questions, here ChatGPT takes a real action in the business's system. It does not invent times or hold appointments on its own: it offers only times Torly confirmed as free, and Torly checks them again at the moment of booking.

Why now

Why should your business be available in ChatGPT?

More and more people open ChatGPT to plan their day - to search, compare and get things done. When the customer is already in the conversation, the shortest way to an appointment is to ask for it right there.

01

No link to look for

The customer does not need to find the booking page, scroll and fill in a form. They write one sentence - and get free times.

02

A conversation instead of a form

"Something on Thursday after four, with Avi" - ChatGPT understands the request and offers only what really fits.

03

Even when you are closed

ChatGPT is available at any hour. A customer can book at ten at night for tomorrow morning - and only within your opening hours.

04

No phone to pick up

You keep working. The appointment simply shows up in the calendar.

Instead ofThe customer asks, waits for an answer and forgets.
NowThe customer asks - and the appointment is already in the calendar.
How it works

How does a customer book through ChatGPT?

Five simple steps. The account is linked only the first time.

Returning customers

A customer who already booked with you can simply write "book me again with my barber". ChatGPT recognises the business from the customer's earlier appointments and offers the staff member from their last one first.

  1. 1

The customer opens ChatGPT with the request

Through the "Book through ChatGPT" button on your business page, through your link or QR code, or simply by writing your booking page address (torly.cc/your-name). ChatGPT opens with the request already written.

  2. 2

    ChatGPT shows the business

Services, durations, prices (unless you chose to hide them), the team and the opening hours. If several staff members offer the service, ChatGPT asks who the customer prefers - or whether anyone is fine.

  3. 3

    ChatGPT offers free times

From the business's real calendar, for the day and time the customer asked for, in the business's time zone.

  4. 4

The first time - linking to Torly

The customer links their Torly account on a Torly page: with Google, with Apple or with a code sent by email. The name and phone come from the account, not from the conversation. This happens only once.

  5. 5

    The appointment is booked

The appointment lands in your calendar, the customer gets a confirmation through the messaging channels you set up, and ChatGPT also offers a reminder of its own.

What customers can do

What can your customers do with you through ChatGPT?

Every action goes through Torly, in real time, and only on the customer's own appointments.

“What can I book at Studio Noa and how much is it?”

Find out what you offer

Services, durations, prices, team, opening hours, address and cancellation policy.

“Anything on Sunday morning?”

Find a time that fits

By day, time range and staff member.

“Book the 10:30”

Book an appointment

Only a time Torly offered as free.

“What appointments do I have?”

See my appointments

Only the customer's own appointments.

“Move my appointment to Monday”

Move an appointment

To a free time, within the cancellation window you set.

“Cancel tomorrow's appointment”

Cancel an appointment

ChatGPT asks for confirmation before cancelling, the time frees up in the calendar and you get an update.

“Remind me the day before”

Get a reminder

After booking, ChatGPT says when the business will send a reminder and offers to remind the customer itself too.

Connected to the system

Not just another chatbot: ChatGPT works against your real calendar

ChatGPT does not get access to your calendar. It asks Torly - and Torly answers by the business's rules.

The same rules you already set in Torly

  • Opening hours
  • Breaks
  • Vacations and closed days
  • Minimum notice before an appointment
  • Buffer between appointments
  • Duration of each service
  • Which staff member offers each service
  • The cancellation window
  • Blocked customers

No double bookings

The booking goes through the same locking mechanism as the booking page. If two customers try to book the same time at the same moment, only one gets it - and the other gets other times.

No invented times

ChatGPT can only book a time Torly offered it, and Torly checks it again at the moment of booking.

No anonymous customers

Every appointment comes with the name, phone and email from the customer's Torly account - not from what was written in the chat.

The bottom line: ChatGPT talks to the customer. Torly decides what is possible.

Control and visibility

What you see and what you decide

The new channel behaves like any other channel in Torly - and you are in control.

One switch

Turn it on and off in Settings › Minisite tab › "Booking through ChatGPT". When the switch is off, ChatGPT does not show the business. Appointments already booked through it can still be cancelled or moved by the customers.

A notification for every new booking

Like a booking from the booking page: a push notification, and the appointment appears in the calendar marked "ChatGPT".

A tidy customer card

The appointment is linked to the existing customer card, or a new card is opened - without overwriting details you typed.

Your numbers

In the settings: how many appointments were booked through ChatGPT this month and in total. In the reports: appointments by channel - ChatGPT, booking page, phone agent and waitlist.

Businesses that take prepayment

If your customers pay in advance when booking, ChatGPT shows the business and sends the customer to your booking page to book and pay there. There is no payment inside ChatGPT.

Protection from abuse

There is a limit on how many appointments one customer can book through ChatGPT at each business and each day. A customer you blocked cannot book from here either.

How will customers reach you in ChatGPT?

Customers reach you by your Torly address. This is how you bring them:

A button on your business page

When the switch is on, a "Book through ChatGPT" button appears on your booking page. Nothing to set up.

Your own link and QR code

A permanent link (torly.cc/connect/chatgpt/your-name) and a printable QR code are waiting for you in the settings. Put them in your story, on WhatsApp, in your bio, on your business card or next to the till.

Privacy and security

Privacy and security: what ChatGPT knows - and what it does not

ChatGPT receives

  • The public information on your booking page: services, prices (unless hidden), hours, address
  • Free times
  • The customer's own appointments - only after they linked their account

ChatGPT does not receive

  • Other customers' details
  • Internal notes
  • Payment details
  • Who took a time that is already taken
  • Your full calendar

Linking happens at Torly

The customer signs in on a Torly page, not inside the chat, over a secure OAuth connection. ChatGPT never sees a password.

The customer is in control

They can disconnect ChatGPT and delete the connection data at any time, at torly.cc/connect/manage.

You do not see the conversation

The business sees the appointment - not the conversation with ChatGPT, and not the customer's appointments at other businesses.

No medical information

Health and medical businesses are not included in the channel for now.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about booking with ChatGPT

Everything worth knowing before you turn the channel on.

What is booking appointments with ChatGPT?

Booking with ChatGPT is a Torly feature that lets customers book, move and cancel an appointment with a business directly from a ChatGPT conversation. ChatGPT gets the business's services and free times from Torly in real time, and the appointment is saved in the business's Torly calendar like any other, under the rules the business set.

How do you book an appointment through ChatGPT?

Open ChatGPT through the "Book through ChatGPT" button on the business page, through the business's link or QR code, or by writing the business's Torly address (torly.cc/business-name). ChatGPT shows the services, asks what fits and offers free times. The first time, you link a Torly account with Google, Apple or a code by email - and then the appointment is booked.

Does the customer need to download an app or open an account?

There is no Torly app to download. The customer needs a ChatGPT account, and the first time they link a Torly account - in one click with Google or Apple, or with a code sent by email. Linking happens once, and the name and phone entered there are used for every later booking.

Can ChatGPT book a time that is taken or outside opening hours?

No. ChatGPT can only book a time Torly offered it as free, under the opening hours, breaks, vacations, minimum notice and buffer between appointments the business set. At the moment of booking Torly checks the time again, and if it was already taken ChatGPT gets alternative times.

Can double bookings happen?

No. A ChatGPT booking goes through the same locking mechanism as the booking page and the calendar in Torly. If two customers try to take the same time at the same moment, only one of them gets it. A repeated request from the same customer does not create a second appointment either.

Can customers cancel or move an appointment through ChatGPT?

Yes - only their own appointments, and within the cancellation window the business set. Before cancelling, ChatGPT asks the customer to confirm. When moving, ChatGPT offers only free times for the same service, and the previous time frees up in the calendar immediately.

Which customer details does the business get?

The business gets the appointment like any other: the name, phone and email from the customer's Torly account, the service, the time and the staff member, marked as coming from ChatGPT. The details come from the linked account, not from what was written in the chat, and free-text notes cannot be added to the appointment.

What does ChatGPT know about my business?

Only what already appears on your public booking page: the business name, the address and phone you published, opening hours, services, durations and prices (unless you chose to hide prices), plus the free times. ChatGPT does not see your full calendar, other customers, internal notes or financial data.

Does OpenAI get my customers' details?

No. Torly passes to ChatGPT only the answers to actions the customer asked for: the business's public information and that customer's own appointments. Other customers' details, notes and payment details are not passed on. The customer can disconnect ChatGPT and delete the connection data at any time at torly.cc/connect/manage.

What if my business requires prepayment?

ChatGPT will show the business, the services and the times, but will not book the appointment itself: it will send the customer to your booking page to book and pay there. There is no payment inside ChatGPT.

Can I turn it off?

Yes, with one switch: Settings › Minisite tab › "Booking through ChatGPT". When the switch is off, ChatGPT does not show the business and does not book new appointments there. Appointments already booked through ChatGPT can still be cancelled or moved by the customers.

How do customers find my business in ChatGPT?

When the switch is on, a "Book through ChatGPT" button appears on your booking page, and a personal link and QR code for WhatsApp, Instagram or your business card are waiting in the settings. A customer can also give ChatGPT your page address (torly.cc/your-name), and a customer who already booked with you can simply ask for "an appointment with my barber".

Will ChatGPT recommend my business to new customers?

No. Booking with ChatGPT is meant for customers who already know you or got a link from you: ChatGPT reaches a business by its Torly address - through the button on the booking page, the link or the QR code - and does not rank or recommend businesses.

Which languages does it work in?

The customer can write to ChatGPT in their own language. Torly's answers come in Hebrew, English, Arabic, Russian, Georgian or Turkish, following the customer's ChatGPT language, and in English for any other language. Times are always shown in the business's time zone.

Does the customer get a reminder before the appointment?

Yes, through the reminders the business already set in Torly. After booking, ChatGPT tells the customer when the business will send a reminder, and offers to remind them itself too through ChatGPT's reminders.

Is it suitable for clinics and therapists?

Not for now. Health and medical businesses are not included in booking through ChatGPT, so that medical information does not pass through AI assistants. Such businesses keep taking appointments in Torly through the booking page and the calendar.

What is the difference between booking with ChatGPT and Torly's AI phone agent?

Both book appointments in the same calendar under the same rules. The AI phone agent answers phone calls on behalf of the business, on a dedicated phone number. Booking with ChatGPT works in writing, inside the customer's ChatGPT, with no phone number and no call. You can turn on either one or both.

How much does it cost?

Nothing for the customer: there is no charge for booking an appointment in ChatGPT.

Let customers book with you - from ChatGPT too

The same calendar, the same rules, one more way to reach you.
