Install Torly as an app on your phone
A Torly icon on your home screen that opens like any app.
You can use Torly in the browser, but it is easier as an app: an icon on your home screen, a full screen without the browser’s bars, and notifications about new bookings. On an iPhone, notifications work only from the app. There is nothing to download from an app store: your phone saves Torly straight from the browser.
- Step 1
Open Torly on your phone
Go to torly.cc in your phone’s browser and sign in. The Save App to Your Phone screen appears, with two buttons: Install on iPhone / iPad and Install on Android.
Tap the button for your phone and go on to its step below.
TipNot now? Continue in browser closes the screen. It appears again the next time you open Torly in a new tab.
- Step 2
On an iPhone or iPad
Tap Install on iPhone / iPad. Three steps open, and you do them in Safari:
- Tap the Share button: in the bar at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone, or at the top on an iPad. Don’t see it? It’s in the ⋯ menu.
- Scroll down a little and choose "Add to Home Screen".
- Tap "Add" at the top of the window.
The Torly icon appears on your home screen.
TipSafari is the easiest. In another browser on an iPhone, such as Chrome, the Share button is somewhere else.
- Step 3
On an Android phone
Tap Install on Android. In Chrome, your phone usually opens a window that offers to install Torly: confirm, and you’re done.
If two steps open instead, do them yourself:
- Tap the menu button (the three dots) in the browser’s top corner.
- Choose "Install app" or "Add to home screen".
- Step 4
On a Samsung phone (Samsung Internet)
In the Samsung Internet browser, Google Play Protect blocks the install. So when you tap Install on Android there, the page opens in Chrome.
In Chrome, sign in again and tap Install on Android once more. From there, carry on as in the step above.
NoteNo Chrome on your phone? Install it from Google Play, then open Torly in it.
- Step 5
Open the app
Find the Torly icon on your home screen and tap it. Torly opens full screen, without the browser’s bars.
If the app asks you to sign in, sign in once with the same details. After that it remembers you.
TipNow you can turn on notifications about new bookings: notifications to your phone and computer.
Common problems
The install screen does not appear
It appears only on a phone, when you open Torly in the browser. If you tapped Continue in browser, it appears again the next time you open Torly in a new tab. You can also install without it: on an iPhone, Safari’s Share button and then "Add to Home Screen"; on Android, Chrome’s menu button and then "Install app".
Can I install Torly on a computer?
The install screen is for phones. On a computer, use Torly in the browser and keep it in your bookmarks. Chrome and Edge can also install it, from the install button at the end of the address bar, when it shows.
The app asks me to sign in again
The app on your home screen can have its own sign-in, apart from the browser. Sign in once with the same details, and it remembers you. After Samsung opens the page in Chrome, you also sign in once in Chrome.
No notifications on my iPhone
On an iPhone or iPad, notifications work only from the app on your home screen, not from Safari, and only from iOS 16.4. Install Torly with the steps here, open it and turn on notifications there: notifications to your phone and computer.
How do I remove the app?
Like any app: press and hold the icon, then choose to remove it. Your account and your data are not deleted: they are kept in Torly, and you can go on working in the browser.
